Celtics forced into sixth game
It’s not yet over for the Los Angeles Lakers: The team of head coach Phil Jackson took its chance and won the fifth playoff game in the NBA finals against the Boston Celtics 103-98. The Celtics still lead the best-of-seven series 3-2.
Kobe Bryant lead his team once more, scoring a total of 25 points. Lamar Odom scored 20 points, eleven rebounds and and four blocks while Spanish center Pau Gasol head 19 points, 13 rebounds and six assists.
Paul Pierce collected an unbelievable score of 38 points for Boston and missed no more then two seconds of the whole match. His teammate Kevin Garnett scored 13 points and14 rebounds while Ray Allen had 16 points.
Among the spectators at Staples Center were V.I.P.s Jack Nickolson, David Beckham, Denzel Washington, P.Diddy and Dustin Hoffman.
Although they lost on Sunday, the Celtics still have to more possibilities to convert their match points. The first one will be on Tuesday, June 17, at TD Banknorth Garden, where Boston is 12-1, losing only one game this season, against the Detroit Pistons.
